On April 3, Lightning Blazer finished only fifth to the brilliant Irinka Riley at the Dubbo track over 516m with the winner registering a cracking 29.35 seconds - mere .08s outside Midnight Stanley's track record.
Now back to 400m, Lightning Blazer has won at Dawson Park 318m trip in a solid 18.32s while the best of two wins at this trip is a smart 22.84s.

Despite facing more experienced rivals, Lightning Blazer has plenty of upside and is drawn (in box two) to get every chance while his main threat Tornado Twist (box one) is new to Dubbo.
Elsewhere on the night, Amanda Ginn will be looking for Showdown to return to his best in race six. Showdown disappointed last time out at Nowra but is now back a track he is very familiar with.
He's a winner at Bathurst in a slippery 25.78s over 450m and scored in 30.15 at his most recent Dubbo outing on February 27.
Swift Dylan (box three) and Western Hero (four), however, will provide solid opposition. Western Hero scored at Dubbo on April 10 in a career best 22.91 over 400m while Swift Dylan has a PB of 29.77 at 516m.
