Ambulatory care staff moved into their new, spacious and bright workplace this week with the intention it would go "live" on Wednesday.
On Tuesday morning hospital general manager Debbie Bickerton took state Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders on a tour of the "ambulatory care centre" on level one of the building.

First stop was art in the corridor followed by a large space dubbed Medical Day Treatment.
"Medical Day Treatment is mostly what we did in the old ambulatory care unit," Ms Bickerton said.
Blood transfusions, "large complex dressings", bladder and other treatments would be carried out there, she said.
Across the corridor were 32 clinic rooms for use by medical specialists.
Ms Bickerton said they would include doctors working at the Specialist Medical Centre at Manera Plaza in Myall Street who would move onto level one in mid-May.
Respiratory and hand clinics were operating on Tuesday.
The occupation of level one of the building follows the completion of the emergency department at ground level at the end of March.
"The ground floor is all done and dusted except for the front of house," Ms Bickerton said.
Leasing agreements are being finalised for two of three retail spaces on the ground floor.
The hospital has announced that one of the spaces has been leased to Dubbo businesswoman Larrissa Kek to run a gift shop.
Mrs Kek owns Royal Bubs n Tots in Talbragar Street.
Ms Bickerton said in June level two of the building would house an intensive care unit, coronary care unit and "cath lab".
"We are currently advertising for a project manager to help us commission the cath lab," she said.
The Macquarie Building has been constructed under the $150 million stage three and four redevelopment of the hospital.
