Officers attached to Central West Police District are investigating and appealing for information regarding two separate incidents of theft, one including a break and enter, on rural properties in the region from earlier this month.

Police from Forbes responded to a break and enter at a rural property on Gaymards Lane last Friday where a large amount of tools and equipment were stolen, while officers from Hilston are also investigating fuel theft in the Lake Cargelligo area last week.
A shed was broken into during the former incident with equipment including a Ferris ride-on lawn mower, a Honda self-propelled push mower, a Bossweld gasless MIG welder and plasma cutter, an air compressor and a Stihl brushcutter were stolen, along with other tools as well.
At Lake Cargelligo, 400 litres of diesel was stolen from a property on the Lachlan Valley Way between April 5 and 6, after the offender or offenders gained entry by cutting fences and padlock chains.
Police say this is an ongoing issue for the landholder who has reported previous thefts, while fuel theft remains a continued problem for landholders across the state.
