Orange's F.O.O.D (Food of Orange District) week will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. Australia's longest running regional food festival is a 10-day community event celebrating Orange's food and wine - from farmers to chefs and restaurants. Among this year's signature events are Shining the Light on Local Producers, the Sampson Street Lunch and a 30th anniversary dinner. Until April 18. Various venues. Dance workshop: Stepping Out Dance Factory are opening their studio for a two day dance workshop from April 16 to April 17. Details at dubborsl.com.au/whats-on.kids-events. Macquarie Regional Library- Dubbo branch: Hosts an array of kids activities for school holidays. This time around they include Around the Library World, Design and make a passport, then travel the library shelves to find facts about different countries. A free morning tea will be held at the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club, 178 Brisbane St, Dubbo, on Wednesday, April 21 from 10am-12pm as part of Seniors Week activities. The Whitlam's frontman hits the road with tales of the bush and driving to see a Man About a Dog as drought breaks. Creative Trail

More than 40 artists will open their studio doors across 11 venues for the Wellington Art Trail. The event on April 17-18 will also feature pop-up shops and artisan stalls so get your friends and family together, grab a map and explore our glorious region. Tickets $5 per venue or $25 for two-day all access pass. Children under 12 free.

Artists are getting ready to take over Dubbo's music scene for the first Dubbo Fringe Fest - a satellite of the Newcastle Fringe Festival. A long list of artists (too many to mention all of them) include Snez, Tin Camp's Studio Sessions, Who Me, OMG WTF and Chopin's last tour.
