"A few little things we need to keep improving on, but (I'm) really happy, defence was 100% both in the middle and on the edge so we are stoked," he said.
"Really happy with what they (CYMS) dished up, we only had the one ball work session, so all the boys were very happy to it's obviously good to win the local derby,"
"With a little bit of luck, we might make the grand final,"
Yeo praised his side for how quickly they have formed combinations and bonded in just a short period.
"Especially being the first 21's comp we've had it's a bit new and a bit special but they're really happy the whole lot of them, some of them didn't know each other five or six weeks ago so they have really gelled well together," he said.
"As far as a committee goes and as far as rugby league goes as a sport, it's about trying to get like-minded good young men to play the sport and stay in the game and by doing that it gives them something to aim for those who want to throw a dart at the board in Sydney but also gives those fellas who don't have those desires to do it gives them something to do and aim for each weekend,"
After such a strong performance Yeo praised the whole side for the defence but singled a few in particular out.
"Sullivan Haycock was really good, Jed McIntosh was good in defence, Toby O'Leary and Fred Griffiths were also good as was Jordi Madden," he said.
"Harrison Freeman was really good playing centre and he was excellent."
CYMS will meet the Forbes Magpies in this weekend's semi-final doubleheader.
"We've a running battle with Forbes and now we met them in another final and we hope lessons have been learned in the past and we take care of their middle. they are always strong in the middle so that's our goal and if we do that we could be in with a real chance." he said.
