Rain is forecast to return to Dubbo on Wednesday and boost the March 2021 tally of 26.8 millimetres (mm) as of Tuesday morning.

The Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) seven-day forecast for the city as of Tuesday suggests there is an 80 per cent chance of the tally rising by up to 15mm of rain on Wednesday.
It's also reporting of a 60 per cent chance of Dubbo getting up to 8mm of rain on Thursday and a 30 per cent chance of up to 6mm on Monday.
There's a 20 per cent chance of rain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The rain tally sat at 0.2mm for the first 10 days of March 2021 before 6.6mm of rain was collected by the automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport in the 24 hours to 9am Thursday, March 11.
It was followed by 12.2mm on March 12, 0.8 on March 13 and 7mm on March 14.
Average rainfall in the city during the month of March is 63.5mm.
