Nothing Else Matters is Mrs Davis' second project working with US-based creatives and will feature the likes of Dubbo actors Robert Zavadszky and Oliver Burns.
Daniel Rutter has also taken on director of photography duties.
"It's been another great experience and it's exciting to be helping emerging talent bring their vision to screen," Mrs Davis said.
Mr Nofal has been writing since he was "nine or 10" which led to a love of storytelling, and through the internet he has been able to discover other creatives.
Nothing Else Matters draws on Mr Nofal'S own experiences as he aims to encourage others who may find themselves in similar positions.
"Through most of life, talking about my passion for film was hard and almost taboo so I took that aspect and created a scenario where someone else was on the same boat as me," he said.
"The character finally meets someone who will read his work and finally receives some feedback."
Mr Nofal said he hopes the film will motivate others to go out and try before making the decision to stop pursuing their goals.
"You would be surprised what you can accomplish," he said.
Mrs Davis said the storyline really resonated with her.
"Although we're continents and probably a generation apart, as a child of migrant parents, I was discouraged from creative pursuits and expected to be more practical in my ambitions," she said.
"Having said that, my whole family is so supportive of my filmmaking, it's just taken me a long time to get here."
Mr Nofal hopes to screen the film at festivals and for friends, and has a number of projects in works including a video game.
"I hope [the film] can help open doors and other opportunities for me to go out and create what I believe I can create," he said.
