The driver of a truck, reportedly a garbage truck, that crashed into a house near Gilgandra on Friday morning was transported to Dubbo Hospital in a stable condition.

Emergency services responded to reports just after 7.30am and three Ambulance crews were immediately dispatched to the area, on the Newell Highway.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also tasked to the incident, where a man believed to be in his 60s was trapped for a period of time.
After he was extracted, he was treated for suspected lower limb injuries at the scene before being transported to hospital.

"The man suffered some lower leg injuries and was trapped for an extensive period of time," Inspector Paul Jole, NSW Ambulance, said.
"This had the potential to be disastrous, we really need to take care behind the wheel of any motor vehicle."
The severity of damage done to the house was unconfirmed.
