Rotary Club of Wellington member and event organiser Emily Falson said although it is 'such a shame' to have had to cancel the parade, it will not have any impact on other festivities.
"As a voluntary organisation we are not able to adhere to the NSW Government COVID-19 safe guidelines required to host the parade which includes providing street seats for all in attendance, so we had to cancel it this year," Ms Falson said.
"But we still have quite a lot in store.
"The swap meet, junior tractor pull, bike rally, car rally and tractor trek will all still be going ahead."
Ms Falson said community members should be aware they must bring a chair or rug to sit in/on if they want to gain access.
"Another NSW Government guideline we have to abide by is; no chair, no entry. In order to be let it you must have a chair or rug with you," she said.
Guests will be able to participate in all of the usual festivities but will be required to be seated between tasks. The tractor trek, bike rally and car rally will run on Saturday, March 6, with steam engines and John Fowler also set to be chugging around the streets.
The major event will run from 7am Sunday, March 7, at the Wellington Showground.
A $10 entry fee goes towards fundraising for the Rotary Club of Wellington.
