It's alleged about 5am on Tuesday morning the teenager broke into the Narromine High School, before smashing a window into Keirath Shopping Centre, and using a paver through the window of Liquorland.

Orana Mid-Western Police District Inspector Paul Stephens said local police were able to respond to the incident after the alarm to the shopping centre was triggered.

"Police had been called in relation to the first [break and enter], and located the young person attempting to leave the scene," he said.

"As he attempted to get away from police, he was arrested in a park on Burroway Street."

Police said the young person stole two bottles of spirits and a 10 pack of rum from one business and keys were stolen from another.

The teenager was charged with two counts of break and enter, and one count of break and enter with intent.

"As a result of a quick response by local police, [they were] subsequently arrested, and will be before the court in relation to the matters," Inspector Stephens said.

Narromine Police Sergeant Michael Smith said between 4.30pm on Monday and 7.10am on Tuesday someone has used an object to smash the drivers window of a Toyota Hilux parked on Dandaloo Street.

It's alleged the offender ransacked the cabin and a small amount of property was taken.

Police are investigating the matter and urge anyone who may have dash cam footage or CCTV to contact Narromine police on 6889 1444 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

Sergeant Smith said police were trying to establish if there were any links between the two incidents.

"I appreciate the actions of several members of the public who promptly called 000, kept the suspect under observation and updated police with accurate information," Sgt Smith said.

"Their help was crucial to making a swift arrest over these matters."
