Arriving in town on Monday afternoon, the Fun Fair team hoped to begin the two-day-long set-up process, only to be forced to slam the brakes on when that evening's torrential downpour hit.
Despite the minor set-back, there was absolutely no dampening the spirits of the three families who had brought their amusement businesses together after covid saw the mass cancellation of the community events and shows they would normally cater to.
Fosters Amusements, Jubilee Amusements and Ace Attractions joined forces to create their own travelling fair which will open for the very first time this coming weekend.

Ted Foster said it took 14 trucks to bring the 19 rides to Orange, along with food trucks and stalls, side-show games, water-slides and even fireworks.
Fellow owner-operator Jade Evans added that it would all kick-off this Saturday from 11am. On the following Saturday and Sunday, February 13 - 14, the Fair would provide the "ultimate fun date spot" for Valentine's Day.
"We've been operating this way since September last year, and have already run the Fun Fairs in the Central West region," Mrs Evans said.
"So we're well aware of what's needed to keep everyone safe, and are already known to local authorities who have commended us on going above and beyond what's required [for COVID-19 safety]."
Entry to the event can be pre-purchased for $30 online (for four hours of unlimited rides - and including the firework displays) at www.ticketebo.com.au/jubilee-amusements-au or for $35 at the gates.
