The regional seniors travel card is a $250 prepaid Visa card designed to assist eligible seniors in regional, rural and remote areas of NSW offset the cost of essential travel expenses.

The card can be used to pay for fuel, taxis, pre-booked NSW TrainLink Regional train and coach services, helping them to access essential services.

More than 337,000 seniors from across the state successfully applied for the card in 2020, injecting approximately $59.36m into regional economies.

The majority of those applicants are using their cards for fuel, followed by taxis, TrainLink services and coaches.

To be eligible for the regional seniors travel card, you must have reached the Age Pension age and be receiving support from Services Australia, the Department of Veterans' Affairs or hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card.

Seniors can apply for a 2021 Card from 18 January 2021 even if they still have funds on their 2020 Card.

Even if you have mild symptoms, get tested for COVID-19 immediately. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell, loss of taste, fatigue, acute blocked nose (congestion), muscle pain, joint pain, headache, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, unexplained chest pain and conjunctivitis.

Don't delay, get tested. Most people in NSW are still receiving their test results within 24 hours.

There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week.
