Life Without Barriers carer engagement officer Kristine Holland said there is a 'desperate' need for carers across every location in the country and that applies to all agencies.
"We run these workshops regularly, but this is the first time we have advertised it. We want to inform more people as we are in desperate need of more carers," Mrs Holland said.
"Our number one goal is to provide permency to children who, for reasons outside of their control, do not have permanency in their lives.
"There are kids out there right now that need and don't have permanent homes. Kid's from all backgrounds and nationalities.
"All it takes for a child to succeed in life is one caring adult."
Mrs Holland said the workshop equips participants with essential training all carers across NSW have to go through.
"Those wanting to complete the training will have to attend both days of the training and RSVP is mandatory prior to attending as we need to have a conversation before hand and screen each person," she said.
"The workshop shines light on would life would be like as a carer and will be an opportunity for people who have been thinking about becoming a carer to see if it is the right thing for them."
Mrs Holland said there are many types of carers who are needed.
"Foster care can be long term or short term, or emergency care. We have some carers who can only care for children one weekend a month and that can be enough to change one child's whole world," she said.
"Any one over 18 can become a carer, although over 25 is preferred. I think the biggest thing is those with family's, ensure their whole family is on board and they've had that conversation."
Training will take place face to face in Dubbo across January 30 and January 31.
Those wishing to attend the workshop must RSVP by January 25 to receive location details.
