2020 graduating student James Finch received the Ruby Riach OAM Scholarship.
The scholarship is presented to a student leaving Year 12 to attend a tertiary institution, to assist them with their further studies.
Ruby Riach was a founding member of The Bindyi Club and served as president between 1995 - 2007.
She had a distinguished career in education and has maintained her interest in education matters since her retirement.
Dubbo Senior Campus Deputy Principal Jessica Schulte said that James boasted an array of qualities which saw him receive the prestigious award this year.
"James has been a student of Dubbo College since year seven.
"He has demonstrated outstanding academic excellence, has commendable attendance and has represented the college as a western area and Astley Cup athlete," Miss Schulte said.
The second Bindyi Club scholarship is the Frank Heather Scholarship.
The Frank Heather Scholarship is given in memory of Frank Heather, the founder and first secretary of The Bindyi Club and is awarded to a student planning to study at Charles Sturt University, Dubbo Campus.
Miss Schulte described this years' recipient, Hannah Luffman as a "diligent and well respected student who has excellent attendance and has represented Dubbo College in athletics at Astley Cup."
Dubbo College Principal Marisha Blanco said it was an honor and a joy to present such prestigious scholarships to these Dubbo College students this year.
Miss Blanco thanked The Bindyi Club for their ongoing support of Dubbo students.
"It is one of the joys of my role as principal of Dubbo College Senior Campus to award worthy recipients, scholarships provided by the The Bindyi Club.
"These generous scholarships will assist in furthering the education of these students beyond Dubbo College," Miss Blanco said.
"We thank The Bindyi Club for their continued support of our student's futures and wish both James and Hannah all the very best in their further studies" she said.
The Bindyi Club is a club for ex-students of Dubbo High School and Dubbo College. The foundation was established to provide scholarships and prizes for eligible students.
The club was formed in 1985 when Mr Heather placed an advertisement in the Sydney Morning Herald asking if any ex-students wanted to get together and have lunch.
Since its inception over 30 years ago the Bindyi club has met every year on the second Saturday in March.
