The Kody Nestor-trained galloper had two placings and some poor luck in her last four starts but on Saturday, under a gem of a ride from Mathew Cahill, the four-year-old mare took out the $75,000 Highway Handicap (1800m) at Rosehill.
Travelling in a handy position midfield, Eva's Deel ($6.50 equal favourite) gradually worked into the race and finished best to win from the equal favourite Deadly Impact (Keagen Latham) and Riverstock (Rachel King, $21).
It was the fourth win in 11 career starts for Eva's Deel, who was purchased at an online auction as an unbroken two year old in 2018 by Ian Sullivan.
Eva's Deel had little luck last time out and finished eighth in a Highway event at Kembla Grange while she had run sixth at Randwick prior to that following a string of promising runs around the western area.
But things turned for Eva's Deel on Saturday as she justified being the most popular runner with punters in the race.
The win was Nestor's second at Rosehill in recent times after Fast Talking claimed victory in the Country Classic on November 7.
Nestor now has Tuesday's meeting at his home track to focus on.
He will have five hopes in action during the seven-race meeting, with the in-form Toulon Factor headlining the group.
Toulon Factor is racing in a rich vein of form, having scored back-to-back wins his past two starts and placing twice in succession prior to that.
Apprentice Dylan Stanley will ride Toulon Factor in Tuesday's Ezyquiphire Benchmark 58 Handicap (1600m).
Princess Factor, another last-start winner, will also be in action on Friday and will go around in the Chillrite Christmas Prelude Class 2 Handicap (1100m) while lightly-raced duo Galleries Supreme and Super Chance will line up in the Dubbo Radio Cabs F&M Maiden Handicap (1000m) and Talented Escape will contest the Triple M Tuesdays Maiden Plate (1300m).
