A Dubbo man has been charged for a number of traffic offences, with a video showing him reaching speeds in excess of 198km/hr in a marked 80km/h zone.

Shortly before 10.45pm on Thursday police stopped the red Holden Commodore on Cobbora Road due to his manner of driving.
Police spoke to the 20-year-old driver before he was breath tested.

The breath test returned a positive result and the man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.171.
As part of inquiries, information was received showing a video depicting the 20-year-old man reaching speeds in excess of 198km/h in a marked 80km/h zone.
The man was charged with high range PCA, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and provisional driver use mobile phone while driving. His licence was also suspended.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
