The trainer is fresh off breaking records in Bathurst, and will be taking one of his in-shape contenders to Dubbo on Sunday for a tilt at the Kyle Barnes Memorial race.
Beast Mode will be on deck for the 2120m race and a solid run of form has Rue's hopes high for a third win in their last four starts this weekend.
"Yeah, we're really happy with the way he's going into it, he's in his career best form at the moment and he really enjoys racing on these smaller tracks," Rue said.

"He's come up with a good draw too, there's only two on the back row, which should give him some options, he'll be able to insert himself into the race whenever he wants from that back row and make a go of it."
Dubbo product Tom Pay will once again be in the gig for Rue, and has been finding his fortunes match that of the stable he's been plying his trade with.
"He had a great win up there on Wednesday night, he's been going really, really well and he deserves every one of these chances," Rue said.
"Driving a horse like Beast Mode is only going to help him and keep boosting his confidence, so it's a real good opportunity for him."
Pay will also get another prime opportunity ahead of his return to Dubbo, with one of his next starts to include a run in the gig of Fouroeight, the speedster who recently broke through the Bathurst track record for Rue.
"Last month went really good for the stable, obviously he's the best horse we've got at the moment, but everything's going good and we've backed it up with good form," Rue said.
"Tom'll be driving him again in Menangle on Saturday night, which should be a really good race for him."
Pay's other ride set to feature in Dubbo on Sunday, Darabont, will take a shot at the 1720m Gold Pace from a similarly thin back row.
"Yeah, Darabont will be in with a shot in Dubbo as well, he's an easy each way chance and he should be pretty honest about it," Rue said.
But the focus for Rue and Pay will be on winning the Barnes memorial, named for Dubbo harness racing stalwart Kyle Barnes, who has ties across the region.
"It sure does make it a bit more special, Kyle was a big name back in the day around the Dubbo circuit and it's not only that, his daughter Kylie was from Bathurst, they've a lot of good friends here, so it'd be nice to bring home a win," Rue said.
The races in Dubbo on Sunday begin at 6.12pm.
