Dubbo College campuses - Senior, Delroy and South High - teachers, Clontarf and the Girls Academy have been provided with invaluable knowledge around hearing loss over the course of the last two weeks thanks to not-for-profit organisation Hear Our Heart Ear Bus Project. Hear our Heart teacher Therese Quigley partnered with Dubbo Public teachers of the deaf to deliver hearing loss education across the campuses. "We used our Sound Scouts devices that Walter and Eliza Hall Charitable Foundation bought for us to teach Senior, Delroy and South High campuses about teenage hearing loss," Mrs Quigley said. Hear our Heart Ear Bus Project members recommended the Sound Scouts app to support the delivery of widespread hearing testing in schools. Hear Our Heart media officer Virginia Redenbach said it was a pleasure to work with both Aboriginal organisations, Clontarf and the Girls Academy. "We have made plans for hearing checks with them using Sound Scouts next year," she said.
