Casey Rutherford says winning the Dubbo's Favourite Tradie award at the Salute to Dubbo Business awards is "pretty exciting" and a "bit of a shock".
Watching on as he received the award at the event hosted by Dubbo Chamber of Commerce on Friday night was a contingent of family and friends.

He started CJ Rutherford Roofing about five years ago.
"I'd like to thank everyone that voted, all my local builders that keep me afloat and everyone who's shown me support the whole way through and keeps me going," he said.
Mr Rutherford says the business has seven employees, in addition to himself, and his "beautiful wife", who works in the office.
The roofer hopes to keep working hard for customers in the future.
"[I] just want to show them some good quality work, good tradesmanship, and have a good all-round running business," he said.
Mr Rutherford reports "plenty happening with the business" to keep him busy.
"Lots of opportunities out there, so hopefully I can get hold of them and see where I end up," he said.
The favourite tradie title was one of four people's choice awards presented at the event.
Millennial Brow Co won Dubbo's Most Popular Business, the Service With A Smile title went to Bev Onley, and the Wongarbon Ploughman's Rest Tavern was named Dubbo's Favourite Hospitality Business.
The Salute to Dubbo Business, held on Friday night in lieu of the annual Rhino Awards which were cancelled due to COVID-19, recognised resilience and achievement.
