The multiple time Group 11 player of the year award winner said everything felt good after the Wellington Castlereagh All Blacks were narrowly beaten by the Wiradjuri Googars in the recent Tribal League's opening round.

The Wellington star missed out on playing during the Cowboys successful campaign for a Group 11 premiership in 2019 due to a battle with bowel cancer, still coached the squad that ended the Wellington title drought.
While he was optimistic about leading the Cowboys out onto field to defend the silverware they downed Dubbo CYMS to claim in that year's decider in 2020, the cancellation of the Group 11 season meant he would have to wait.

Toomey-White and the Wellington Cowboys will return as the defending premiers in the upcoming 2021 season, which will be the last Group 11 competition before the western zone merges into one unified competition.
