A report by NRMA Insurance shows the city is closely followed by Orange, Parkes, Forbes and Mudgee, as residents make claims on their insurance following storms damage received over the past few months.
Rounding out the region, Condobliin and Narromine are equal sixth, while Cowra, Lithgow and Molong come in equal seventh.
And it's still early in the storm season.
The most impacted town or centre in NSW is Jerrabomberra. The remainder of the top 10 list is made up of Sydney suburbs.

New community research from NRMA Insurance reveals nearly two-thirds of NSW residents are worried severe weather such as storms are becoming more frequent and intense.
But this community anxiety isn't being translated into action. Only 57 per cent feel their home and family are prepared for severe weather this summer, and just 35 per cent have recently taken steps to prepare.
NRMA Insurance Executive General Manager Claims, Luke Gallagher said with Australia currently experiencing a La Nina weather system more storms and intense rain were possible this year.
"The fact that over a million households in NSW may not be prepared for severe weather and dangerous storms this summer is a major concern."
According to forecasters the central west can expect above average rainfall in November.

The most recent falls have taken Dubbo's yearly total to 668.6mm, well over the total of 203.6mm that had been received up until this day last year.
The forecast for southern and eastern Australia is for a number of cold front events between now and Christmas with the potential to bring widespread rain.
