Principal Rikki Slack-Smith said she discussed the importance of showing kindness where possible to her students as she told them about the work of Ronald McDonald House in Orange.
"We love to be a part of any charity work where we can, and Dubbo and Orange are both incredibly generous communities," Ms Slack-Smith said.
"When children perform it is all about giving to their audience, and for Wear Red Day we have decided to run it for a week at the studio.
"I believe that by giving in this way with the students participating it not only helps the students become better performers, but better human beings," she said.
Ms Slack-Smith said she had a productive discussion with her students about the importance of having a Ronald McDonald House in Orange for rural families.
"While none of us like to think that we may have to use the facility it is comforting to know there is a place to stay where people know they will be supported - it can make a big difference in people's lives when they have a sick child" she said.
Since Ronald McDonald House opened in 2015 it has provided free accommodation and services for 28 families from Dubbo.
In that time, 778 families from the central and far west have stayed at Ronald McDonald House Charities in Orange for a total of 6,284 nights.
Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities Orange Rebecca Walsh said since Wear Red Day began it has grown into a major fund-raiser for the Orange house.
"In 2021 we are hoping dance schools, pre-schools and businesses from across the central and far west will register to become part of Wear Red Day 2021 by wearing red and donating a gold coin," Ms Walsh said.
