A teenager is in a critical condition after a trail bike crash in Walgett.

About 6:30pm on Sunday emergency services were called to a golf course on Montkeila Street, Walgett, following reports a 13-year-old had fallen off their trail bike.
Police have been told they were riding with two other people, aged 13 and 11, when the teenager came off their bike.

The 13-year-old was treated on scene for serious head injuries and later airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers from Central North Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the crash.
