So the point of it is? To see who toughs it out to the end.
In the premiere season of SAS Australia, 17 Aussie celebrities attempt to conquer a series of physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process.
They are cut off from the outside world at a secret base in harsh but spectacular terrain, where they will eat, sleep and train together in punishing conditions.
Recruits enter the course with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. No personal items are allowed.

- Eden Dally - reality star
- Erin McNaught - Miss Universe Australia
- Firass Dirani - actor
- Jackson Warne - poker player
- James Magnussen - Former Olympic swimmer
- Merrick Watts - comedian
- Mitchell Johnson - retired cricketer

Putting them through the SAS course is an elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers - Chief Instructor Ant Middleton and his DS (directing staff) Mark "Billy" Billingham, Jason "Foxy" Fox and Ollie Ollerton from the hit UK version of the series.
The same crew has overseen seven seasons/recruit courses in the UK. Only 13 recruits have passed selection so far.
There are 41 fixed cameras on base and 120 crew members - and only the directing staff, recruits and the doctor enter the base.
During production there are more 30 explosions, almost 800 blank rounds are used from an AK 47 and there's 22 hours of helicopter time.
We know recruits fractured ribs, suffered from hypothermia and needed stitches. They got through 275 Band-Aids, 65 metres of strapping tape, almost 1000 alcohol swabs, and needed four MRIs.
But who needed what and did any of them last the distance?
