This week marks the first anniversary of that decision, with a year following that has given hope to so many businesses around the region.
Buy from the bush began as a way to help businesses in rural areas dealing with the effects of the drought in their communities - a way of reaching out to city residents, without actually having to go to the city (though they did that too!).
And since COVID hit earlier this year, it's been another important outlet for businesses in rural areas, with many restrictions preventing patrons from supporting them in person.
To celebrate the first anniversary our business reporter Faye Wheeler has been talking to a Grace and a few businesses to see just how much of an impact this hashtag has made on their business.
It's been great to see - and some really positive business news to hear.
I've tagged the stories from the past week for you below - I hope you can take a few minutes today to have a read.
And don't forget, #BuyFromTheBush ... especially as we get nearer to Christmas.
Have a great Sunday,
