Officers from the Central North police district are investigating the shooting of a cow on a property on the Lerida Road at Cobar between September 26-27.
The landholder discovered evidence of the incident on their property and reported the matter to police. The animal was gutted at the scene and then removed.

Police are urging anyone who has information regarding the incident, or witnessed someone acting suspiciously in the area or saw a suspicious vehicle to please contact the Cobar Police station on 6830 9899.
