The relaxed restrictions will mean venues can increase capacity following the one person per to four square metre rule, while theatres, cinemas and concert halls can sell seated tickets at 50 per cent capacity, selling a maximum if up to 1000 tickets.
NSW Minister for the Arts Don Harwin said this comes as a major step forward to recovery for the performing arts sector.
For some venues, the relaxation of restrictions means they will be able to open for the first time in more than five months.
