The open access event will feature a range of performing arts. It could include cabaret, comedy, circus acts dance or the spoken word.
"It is a great opportunity for people with talent to start their career or for existing artists to do more gigs," Newcastle Fringe director Phillip Aughey said.
The Dubbo Fringe Festival is being planned for May 6 to 8.

In the first year it is proposed to use four venues with the option of others if needed. The performances usually go for one hour and there will be three shows in each venue each night, with the option of shows during the Saturday afternoon.
The Newcastle Fringe is looking to engage with people and businesses in the district who want to become involved.
