The clean up project is funded thanks to a $20,000 grant from the federal government through the Drought Communities Program.
Narromine Shire Council general manager Jane Redden said the general tidy-up was being carried out to remove rubbish and weeds from some of the reserves and waterways within the Narromine Region.

It includes the Gin Gin Weir area and Gin Gin Reserve, Goan Water Hole in Trangie, Rotary Park, High Park Reserve, Tunkey Farm Reserve and Macks Reserve in Narromine, plus the Narromine Wetlands.
"Council is targeting weeds such as Tiger pear, Box thorn, Green cestrum and Caster Oil, which are becoming problematic in a number of our reserves," Ms Redden said.
River Repair Bus team leader David Harris thanked council and the Australian government for the opportunity to participate in the clean up.
