Heading into the final two rounds of the season Spurs are at the foot of the ladder but, in another sign of how close the competition has been, are still a chance of making finals.
The Dubbo side would need to beat Barnstoneworth FC and Lithgow in the next two weeks and then hope other results go its way to be any chance of finishing in the top four.
But the difficult task isn't made any easier given Barnies will be playing at home and also in need of a win this weekend to stay in touch with the top four.
Barnies remain fifth after a 2-all draw with Lithgow on Wednesday night.
That result not only kept the Orange team in touch with fourth-placed Panorama FC, it also ensured Macquarie United claimed the minor premiership.
Lithgow needed a win to be a chance of finishing top but now Macquarie will enjoy the bye this weekend knowing they will be minor premiers regardless of what happens in the final round.
Macquarie heads into the bye after a 2-0 loss to the Dubbo FC Bulls on Thursday night.
It was only Macquarie's third loss of the year and was a massive result for the Bulls, who are now three point clear of Lithgow in the race for second spot.
The Bulls and Lithgow do battle in a crunch fixture on Saturday.
That match kicks off at 3pm at Hans Claven Oval while Spurs play from 3pm in Orange.
