It's not often a team in second place considers their last two games of the season 'must win' territory, but that's exactly the mentality the Demons are taking into the final two rounds.

A top of the table clash against the undefeated Bathurst Bushrangers awaits on the weekend, followed by a test against the currently third ranked Bathurst Giants to close out the season.
A loss in either game could send the Demons to third place, and while that wouldn't be the end of their campaign, any surprise results for the Orange Tigers from fourth place could make things difficult.

Club president Joe Knagge says wins in the games to come would be an authoritative stamp that would prove the Demons belong in the finals.
"If we beat the Bushrangers on Saturday, that'd ensure we'd be worthy grand finalists as well, so this is really an opportunity to put a stamp on the competition and prove that we're contenders," Knagge said.
"We've shown that we are real contenders in the competition this year, but we're really keen to put a big effort in for the finals."
This year, the finals will adopt a slightly different structure from what people are used to, with second playing third for a grand final spot and the minor premiers heading straight to the title battle.
"Only two weeks of finals due to COVID, it's all been a little different and everyone wanted to get as many games as they could," Knagge said.
"Those two weeks before finals will be really important, and they're both games for us."
"They really are absolute must win games if we're hoping to get a premiership this year."
Earning a win this weekend and staying in second place, could secure the Demons an assured second place spot and a home berth for their semi-finals battle, something the Demons would definitely appreciate giving the strength of the squad shown on home turf.
"I definitely thing having the local sport makes a real big difference, Dubbo always gets behind it's teams, they're very vocal and they let them know that they're there supporting them, our players always seem to play a little bit better with that kind of backing at home," Knagge said.
"The atmosphere is great."
Aside from the comforts of home and a passionate crowd, the South Dubbo Oval will also debut some of it's latest upgrades, with new interchange benches and covers recently installed with the funding provided by the government to the club.
"With everything upgraded, we're continuing to improve at South Dubbo Oval, it just makes things so much better for the club at the moment," Knagge said.
The match will take place at 2.30pm this Saturday at South Dubbo Oval.
