The region's best will do battle in the Dubbo area on Sunday and the host club is out for another big medal haul, with the likes of Kurt and Dylan Eather and Danny Barber leading the charge.

There's plenty of talent coming from elsewhere and Bathurst Cycle Club's Mark Windsor is excited to see what Will Hodges, in particular, can do.

"This is a great opportunity for him. He's won Western Divisions in the past. But there's some great young juniors racing in Dubbo, some of the best in the country," he said.

Teamwork will be a vital factor for the road race.

Keeping tabs on the Dubbo contingent should be top priority for all other clubs if they want to succeed.

"The last thing Will will want is a finish with those guys," Windsor said.

"If it's all together in the last five kilometres then it could be a Dubbo whitewash because that's how good those guys are.

The criterium was dropped from this year's program.

Racing starts from 10.15am on Sunday morning with the time trial, held on the 12 kilometre Terrabella Road course, before the road race takes place on the South Geurie circuit, where A and B grade will take on the 60km course.
