Having won the Cobar Cup in May of last year, the nine-year-old mare won the Cobar Picnic Cup on Saturday in what was her 103rd career start.
Trained at Dubbo Greig and ridden by Brazilian-born Leandro Ribeiro, Naoko settled near the tail of the field as the Janelle Galea-trained frontrunner Good Host set the pace.
Cooee March (Ashley Boyd, $3 favourite) hit the lead in the straight but was overhauled and beaten in a close photo finish by Naoko ($4.60), which ran home strongly on the outside while Snatcha (Wayne Wheatley, $4.60) raced handy to finish third.
