At 8.20am on Wednesday, August 19, officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District responded to reports of a crash on Cobra Street in Dubbo.
Police were told a Hyundai Getz was travelling east bound on Cobra Street when it entered the footpath before crashing into a stationary trailer, building and utility.
It is alleged the driver, a 44-year-old man, walked from the scene.
Officers attended and located the man a short time later in the car park of a business on Cobra Street.
Police spoke with the man before conducting a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis which returned a high-range reading of 0.196.
He was charged with high-range PCA, two counts of not give particulars to other driver, and dangerous driving.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Dubbo Local Court in October.
