The Salute to Dubbo Business will be held on Friday, November 13.
There will be five award categories: Dubbo's Favourite Tradie, Dubbo's Most Popular Business, Dubbo's Favourite Hospitality Business, Service with a Smile and the new Business that Met the Challenges of 2020 with Diversification and Innovation.
In May it was announced the 2020 Rhino Awards wouldn't go ahead due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
But, the chamber has decided businesses should still be celebrated.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Dubbo Chamber of Commerce president Matt Wright said the awards were a way to celebrate resilience, while also acknowledging ways businesses have "pivoted, diversified, or simply become innovative with their offering".
"The fact that many businesses are still under significant strain cannot be ignored and we understand that unfortunately some businesses have not made it through these tough conditions, and others may still not make it," he said.
"Unfortunately due to the current climate, we're of course unable to recognise business excellence in the city in the traditional way, however the chamber looks forward to being able to celebrate another Rhino Awards campaign at a point in the future."
Regional Australia Bank is again partnering with the chamber for the event.
Senior relationship manager Ben Luck said he looked forward to seeing the nominations from the community.
"Throughout our longstanding relationship with the Dubbo Chamber we have seen hundreds of businesses adapt to periods of adversity. Predominantly the ongoing drought, and now the pandemic has seen so many businesses change the way they operate day-to-day and those businesses should be celebrated," Mr Luck said.
Nominations and entries for the awards are now open via the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce website.
