A man has been charged and investigations continue in relation to a night-time public place shooting at Dubbo this week.

About 11.30pm on Monday, officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District responded to reports of shots fired at a home on Rivergum Place.
Police were told four people - allegedly armed with knives, swords and a firearm - attended and spoke with the occupant, a 26-year-old man, before a shot was fired at the home.

Officers attended and started an investigation into the matter which was being "treated as a targeted incident", police said in a statement.
No one was injured.
About 2.20pm on Wednesday, a 20-year-old man was arrested at Dubbo Police Station in relation to the incident.
He was charged with fire firearm at dwelling-house with disregard for safety, and breach of bail conditions.
The man was refused bail at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday and will reappear before the same court in October.
Police said investigations continue.
