THE camaraderie is there, the quality is there and the enjoyment is there - that's why Central West Rugby Union's chief executive officer Matt Tink is so determined all 2020 competitions will continue this season.

While some had concerns the CWRU competitions would be forced to stop following a NSW Health advisory on Monday which recommended "ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competitions", Tink was confident play would continue.
On Wednesday evening, after NSW Rugby Union joined other state sporting bodies in meeting with the Department of Health, it was confirmed that community sport could continue as planned.

"I wasn't nervous because I am determined and we will keep playing until we are told we can't," Tink said.
"We all sort of got a little bit blindsided by it [advisory] ... there was very little clarification as to what a zone actually meant.
"The recommendations and suggestions, they need to be black and white when telling us."
Just as Tink is delighted rugby will continue throughout the region, he also took satisfaction that member clubs share his determination to see the 2020 competitions continue.
"I spoke to a number of presidents and people from the rugby community and everyone said we need to keep going, there was no-one who said we need to pull up here, everyone said let's keep going. That's tremendous," he said.
"There's a really good feel around the game at the moment and the quality of rugby is great and people are enjoying it despite the weather."
As for that weather, if it predicted snow for the Central West falls on Saturday it may not necessarily mean a blanket cancellation of all games.
"Look ultimately the referee determines the safety of whether or not the game goes ahead. Of more concern is slippery roads and things like that," Tink said.
Dubbo sides the Kangaroos and Rhinos will both be in action this weekend.
The Rhinos meet CSU at Apex Oval while the Roos are on the road to Bathurst for a clash with Bulldogs.
