That's what Barnstoneworth United FC delivered on Saturday afternoon as a perfectly executed game-plan came to fruition, giving Rob Dawson's men a 2-0 win against the Western Premier League's most potent attacking side.
The win has changed the entire dynamic of the campaign for Barnies as a finals berth went from being unlikely before Saturday, to probably after it.
And that's not just because of the three points they gained on the ladder, it's because they've showed their capable of winning big games on the road when no one expects them to.
"We're super happy with the result," skipper Josh Summerson said.
"The plan was to shut down their strikers and control the midfield and we were flawless.
"Alex Elliot and Tyler Mendham in the back were top notch."
While the two defensemen drew praise from Summerson, it was a man in the middle who stood out above the rest.
"Duncan Logan was man of the match for us," he said.
"He controlled the centre and marched the boys around perfectly."
The sides were deadlocked until the 65th minute when Ben Giumelli scored the breakthrough goal and just 10 minutes later, Lachie McHatton found the back of the net as well, putting the contest out of reach for the sky blues.
While Macquarie may have lost out on the competition points in the upset, they're still seated at the top of the ladder, with the Dubbo Bulls in a close second place.
The Orana Spurs were also caught out by the sudden shift in fortunes in the WPL ladder, being dealt a hefty 4 - 1 loss at the hands of the Parkes Cobras.
The result is Parkes first win, and while the Cobras won't climb the ladder until they secure another, the loss has blunted Spurs momentum.
Macquarie will attempt to bounce back in the next round, facing off with the Orana Spurs in a Saturday home fixture.
