And while these days those events may look a little different than they have in the past. It doesn't mean they can't happen.

Restrictions are changing on an almost weekly basis at the moment due to growing coronavirus numbers around the state and country.

And it seems if you are planning a celebration of some sorts, going with the flow at the moment is the way to be.

It might not be what you had planned out to mark the momentous occasion, but then 2020 hasn't really turned out the way anyone would have planned either.

Those starting university or sitting their HSC, those starting high school would have had ideas and thoughts about what the year was going to look like, and now in August, we are still unsure about a lot of 2020.

But it's not time to put life 'on hold' if you don't want too.

It's something that Amanda Brownlow and Conrado Ciarliero decided when the pandemic prevented them from having the Hunter Valley wedding they had planned.

In July, as the NSW Government announced tighter restrictions in responses to new cases of COVID-19, the couple said they did some 'soul-searching' before reorganising their big day.

Bride Amanda told the Daily Liberal at that stage they were "really committed to [getting married].

"Emotionally committed, we just really wanted to get married," she said.

The pandemic might have changed their plans, but it didn't stop them from celebrating their marriage with 23 of their "nearest and dearest."

The pandemic and the restrictions that come along with it have changed a number of things this year, but we hope that you get to enjoy the celebrations you have.
