"It's a big thing for students, schools and family members to be able to collaborate and work towards creating the mindset that it is better when we work together," Deputy principal Neva Pengilly said.
Mrs Pengilly said the students are participating in several activities which see them collaborate with younger students as well as family members.
"Stage three are working on a photo competition. The theme this year is, 'Working Together', so the idea is for the students take a photo which shows them working with a parent or family member to get something done," Mrs Pengilly said.
"Later in the week stage three will also be spending some time with our kindergarten classes and show them some of the projects they have been working on."
Stage two are taking part in a competition to redesign something using outside help.
"So that could be something like a potato peeler, maybe they redesign that so it has a catcher on it which prevents the peels from falling onto the ground.
"The principal will also read a book as one of the activities. It's called Fantastic Elastic and talks about the fact that no one is expected to be able to do everything."
