SCORING a try on grand final day to help your side end a nine-year title drought - it was a moment last August that Brad Glasson relished but when he and his fellow Bathurst Bulldogs meet Orange Emus again this Saturday there'll be a new mission.

Now the talented Bulldogs scrum-half will be looking to play a leading role in helping Bathurst to win their first home game of 2020 and extend their unbeaten run at Ashwood Park to 24 games.
But Glasson, the man who won the 2018 Blowes Cup player of the year, knows Emus will do all they can to prevent another Bulldogs victory.
"We want to keep that record going as long as possible, make it a fortress, but it will be tough because Emus always give 110 percent," Glasson said.
"They are hard to beat, especially in the forwards, they have always got a strong pack."
That forward pack fired for Emus in an opening round 48-8 away win over Forbes, with Glasson's opposite Sam Green one of the standouts.
For his part, Glasson will be trying to get quick ball from the breakdown just as he did in last year's grand final win.
"I suppose our tempo was a really major thing in the grand final last year, so we'll try to keep that up, keep the speed up and hopefully they don't have the fitness," he said.
"But they're always pretty tough games against Emus, it will be interesting to see how many leagueies they've got, I'm sure they've got a few new faces in the side."
While Emus sit on top of the ladder after that big win over Forbes, Bulldogs are fourth as they went down 31-19 to Dubbo Kangaroos in their season-opener.
Naturally it was not the way Bulldogs had hoped to begin their campaign, but the final quarter of the match did show promise.
They were more cohesive in defence, controlled possession better and laid on consecutive tries. The match fitness they gained will help as well.
Glasson feels if Bulldogs can build on that then they can come away with a positive result.
"I think we were just short of a trot against Dubbo, they'd had a couple of trials leading up to that and that really helps with the combinations," he said.
"I think once we actually got the hang of it after 60 minutes or so our combinations fell in place. We had a bit of a stint there where we scored 14 unanswered points."
After starting the season in second grade, 2019 skipper Peter Fitzsimmons returns to the first XV and will line up at number 8.
Tom Felsch, who was the captain of Bathurst Bulldogs colts side which lost just one game last season, also earns a promotion after a solid job in second grade against the Roos.
Kick-off at Ashwood Park is at 3.15pm.
