A disqualified driver has been charged after a police pursuit through the streets of Dubbo on Tuesday morning.

About 2.25am on Tuesday, police were patrolling when they attempted to stop a vehicle on Baird Drive.
Police will allege the vehicle failed to stop and the pursuit was initiated travelling through streets in Dubbo.
A short time later the vehicle entered the grounds at Dubbo Base Hospital where it came to a stop and the driver exited.
Police allege the driver, a 21-year-old man, violently resisted arrest and was subdued a short time later and taken to Dubbo Police Station.
He was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Dubbo Local Court on Tuesday where he was remanded in custody to appear again on Tuesday 25 August 2020.
