The city recorded 6.4mm in the 24 hours to 9am, with the rain starting shortly after 8pm on Saturday night, the Bureau of Meteorology reports.
It was a handy drop to take the total rainfall for June to 24.8mm, and edged Dubbo closer to its long-term June average of 48.9mm.

Cowra recorded 14mm, Coonamble 13.4mm, Coonabarabran 12mm, Dunedoo 10mm and Forbes 9.4mm in the same time period.
Despite the falls across multiple locations in the region, Trangie recorded only 1.8mm to 9am Sunday.
The bureau has forecast a 70 per cent chance of 1 to 3mm at Dubbo on Monday, and a possible shower on Tuesday.
From Wednesday the chance of rain decreases, and the remainder of the working week is forecast to be partly cloudy.
