Dubbo City Regional Airport is among five airports in the Parkes electorate sharing more than $1.25 million in funding from the $41.2 million round one of the Regional Airports Program.
In announcing the grants, federal Local Government Minister and Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton, said they would be used to reseal runways, build fencing, install CCTV and improve safety for emergency services and passengers.

The other airports in the electorate set to benefit from the funding are at Narromine, Gilgandra, Gunnedah and Narrabri.
Almost $420,000 will be spent at Narromine Regional Airport on works including the installation of pilot-activated lighting on the taxiway and at the holding point, and the installation of fencing and an illuminated wind indicator.
In its 2019-20 budget, the federal government committed $100 million over four years to help owners of regional airports undertake essential works.
"Our government continues to back rural and regional communities in the Parkes electorate through job creation, access to more reliable transport and better service delivery," Minister Coulton said.
"The Regional Airports Program will help to ensure our airports meet the needs of communities and local industry now and into the future."
