Macquarie president Ross McDermott stated earlier in the week he'd be ringing clubs in Group 11 and Group 10 to try and find some form of rugby league for his club this year.

He might have an ally in Orange Hawks captain-coach Willie Heta.
McDermott was accepting but disappointed to see the 2020 Group 11 season cancelled on Tuesday night and said the decision wouldn't stop the Raiders from taking to the field this year.
He planned to contact clubs in the hope of organising some kind of games, before a Macquarie board meeting next week.
Heta is one person who could be interested in what McDermott has to say.

Much like McDermott, Heta is currently going without footy after the Group 10 senior season was also canned earlier in the week.
"We'll see if there's anything come up for the boys to take on. We'll sit and wait to see if something comes up," Heta said.
"There were rumours of joining with Group 11 because they've had some clubs pull out and that's no further away than a Mudgee trip.
"Any footy at all to be played, the boys would be happy to hear about."
Dubbo CYMS captain-coach Jarryn Powyer said earlier in the week he would listen to any proposal put forward as well.
Heta said a meeting has been scheduled to let the player group know all hope for this season hasn't been lost, while the chance to secure the roster ahead of 2021 is also a priority.
It's something most clubs across the region are now looking at, with McDermott confirming he would be looking at renegotiating contracts at the club.
"We were building, and plugged the holes I felt we needed to and it was shaping up as a good season," Heta said of his side.
"We've set a date to have a meeting and hopefully we can give them some exciting news to ensure they stick around for the remainder of this year but we'll see what intentions are.
"We'll hold on to what we can."
