TWO more people have been charged in connection with an alleged state-wide drug supply network operating from Wellington and across Sydney's south west.

In February 2019, detectives attached to Western Region established Strike Force Pinnacle to investigate an ongoing large-scale drug supply network operating from Wellington.
Early inquiries revealed the syndicate was allegedly sourcing prohibited drugs - mainly methylamphetamine (ice), but also MDMA and heroin - from Sydney, and distributing them to regional towns across NSW.
Subsequently, in January 2020, detectives attached to State Crime Command's Drug and Firearms Squad established Strike Force Laverick to investigate the syndicate's links in Sydney.
Between February 2019 and late March 2020, 15 people were arrested and charged as a result of ongoing inquiries, and they remain before the courts.
On Wednesday, May 27, a further 12 people were charged by Strike Force Pinnacle detectives, while six were charged by Strike Force Laverick detectives. They also remain before the courts.
About 10.50am on Tuesday, June 9, officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District attended a home in Wellington, where they arrested a 27-year-old woman.
She was taken to Wellington Police Station, where she was charged with participate in criminal group and three counts of supply prohibited drug.
Later the same day, officers attended a second home in Wellington around 1.30pm, where they arrested a 59-year-old man.
He was also taken to Wellington Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug, participate criminal group, goods suspected stolen in/on premises, owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises, and deal with proceeds of crime.
The pair were both refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.
So far 35 people have now been charged as a result of investigations by Strike Force Pinnacle and Strike Force Laverick.
Investigations are continuing and further arrests are expected.
