A MAN will front Dubbo Local Court today following a fatal crash in the Blue Mountains on the weekend.

About 2.30pm on Saturday, June 6, emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, near Macquarie Road, at Springwood, following reports of a crash involving a bicycle and a utility.
The 64-year-old male cyclist was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition. He later died.

The 45-year-old male driver was not injured and was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command established a crime scene with officers from the Crash Investigation Unit to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
At 10.40pm on Sunday, June 7, the driver was arrested at Main Street in Lithgow and taken to Lithgow Police Station.
The man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and not drive in lane.
He was refused bail to appeal before Dubbo Local Court on Monday.
Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the crash is urged to come forward.
