Police have seized a number of items alleged to be stolen after stopping a car for a random breath test in Cobar on Wednesday evening.

Police stopped the silver Ford Ranger on Morrison Street, Cobar about 6.10pm, to issue the driver with a random breath test.
He returned a negative result, but following inquiries police searched the vehicle and seized a number of items they allege to have been stolen including a knife, torch, 12 volt charger, firearm scope and a laser scope.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about one of the items, a maxi vision reversing camera, to contact detectives at Cobar Police Station.
At the same time detectives are also investigating possible links to two break and enters in Cobar earlier this year.
Police were notified after a break and enter at a home on Bradley Street between February 6 and February 12, and in another incident police were notified after unknown persons gained entry to a business on Dunstan Street between 8pm March 9 and 8am on March 10.
