The 0.8 millimetres (mm) of rain which fell in Dubbo in the 24 hours to 9am Saturday has lifted the city's tally for May to 25mm.

But the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) seven-day forecast as of Wednesday offers no hope the tally will grow.
The BoM is forecasting a zero per cent chance of rain across the period.
Dubbo has welcomed above-average rain in February, March and April 2020.

The BoM reports the city receiving 81.8mm of rain in February, 145mm in March and 106.6 in April, based on readings at the automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport.
Corresponding average rain for the three months is 42.2mm, 63.5mm and 31.4mm.
Average rain in Dubbo during the month of May is 39.2mm.
Dubbo had received 394.4mm of rain this year as of Wednesday morning.
Average annual rainfall in Dubbo since 1994 is 552.8mm.
Last year holds the record for the lowest rainfall in 25 years with 211.2mm recorded by the BoM at the airport.
Meanwhile, below-average maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast up until Tuesday.
Top temperatures will range from 18 to 20 degrees Celsius and morning temperatures from three to five degrees.
Average maximum and minimum temperatures during the month of May are 20.1 and 6.5 degrees.
