Mr Mockler, who lost his wife Margaret to the disease in 2014, has made it his mission to help save lives by providing information on Ovarian Cancer and encouraging women to get checked regularly.
"I lost my wife on April 10th 2014, since then I have been an advocate for raising awareness and the need for couples to be aware of the hidden symptoms," he said.
"They call it the silent killer because the symptoms often go unnoticed."
Mr Mockler hosts presentations, talks, holds activities and run an Ovarian Cancer morning tea annually in conjunction with local retailer Black Pepper.
This year, due to COVID-19, Mr Mockley is unable to do many of those things, but that isn't stopping him from getting the message out there.
"I focus mainly on providing information to make people aware of some vague symptoms. Things like bloating, and back pain.
"It's crucial for people to be vigilant and seek medical advice, attention and guidance as it will manifest in the background.
"Had my wife and I known these things earlier, we definitely would have sought medical attention sooner. For us, it was too late and Margaret was diagnosed with stage four b cancer."
